Airbus helicopters have accelerated the process of establishing new pilot and technician training facilities in Ukraine. The company will provide an H225 full-motion simulator in the city of Kremenchuk, and deliver the first two H125 helicopters for pilot training by the end of 2019.

“We are very proud to announce that we are building our pilot training facility at Kremenchuk University,” said Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov. “The two H125 and H225 full-motion simulators will be delivered in advance and put into operation by the end of 2020. Ukraine will soon be equipped with its own modern pilot training center."

“The establishment of a local training and maintenance centre in Ukraine is an important part of our cooperation. We are proud to strengthen our partnership with the Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior to use the first two H125 helicopters originally used for law enforcement tasks for pilot training, six in advance. Delivery for the month," said Airbus Helicopter CEO Bruno Even.

According to the 55 helicopter agreements signed by the French and Ukrainian governments in mid-2018, Airbus Helicopters has delivered four of the 21 modified H225 helicopter orders. The deal also includes 10 new H145 helicopters, eight of which will be equipped with five main blades, as well as 24 H125 helicopters for Ukrainian national border monitoring, search and rescue (SAR) and emergency medical assistance missions.
