The Yangtze River Delta low-altitude airline network/the first cross-province surface and land commuter travel route opened

A Cessna 208BEX amphibious plane set off from Hangzhou Jiande Qiandao Lake General Airport on Nov. 1 and flew to Shanghai Jinshan Aquatic Airport, which means the first inter-provincial amphibious travel route in the Yangtze River Delta is officially open to traffic. Together with the three short-distance commuter travel routes previously opened, namely, direct flights to Zhoushan in Zhejiang, Huangshan in Anhui and Zhenjiang in Jiangsu, Jiande has achieved full coverage of short-distance commuter travel routes in the Yangtze River Delta region.

It is understood that the route, operated by Happiness Airlines, can take 8 passengers at a time, and one and a half hours from Jiande to Shanghai Jinshan. Four flights per week will be opened and flight frequency will be increased according to market demand.

As a commuter route between land and water, the route passes the confluence of Xin 'an River, Fuchun River and "Three Rivers" of Lanjiang, as well as several popular scenic spots such as Xianhua Mountain Scenic area, Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park and Jinshan City Beach.

"Flying is a common mode of transportation, but the seaplane experience is unique. We flew at an altitude of about 3,000 meters, and we could clearly see the scenery on the ground. For example, from the south bank of Hangzhou Bay to the north bank, we flew at a height of only 200 meters, and the scenery was beautiful." Happy Air captain Li Dawei said.

It is reported that the opening of inter-provincial commuter travel routes will help promote the low-altitude integration of the Yangtze River Delta and promote the integrated development of transportation and tourism through building an air connectivity network.

"Jiande will open flights to Wenzhou, Huzhou Deqing, Jinhua Hengdian and other places, connecting the existing general airport.
