A Cessna 208BEX amphibious aircraft departed from Hangzhou Jiande Qiandao Lake General Airport on November 1 to Shanghai Jinshan Water Airport, which means that the first trans-provincial land and water commuter travel route in the Yangtze River Delta has officially opened. In addition to the three short-distance commuter travel routes that have been opened previously for direct flights to Zhoushan in Zhejiang, Huangshan in Anhui and Zhenjiang in Jiangsu, Jiande has achieved full coverage of short-distance commuter travel routes in the Yangtze River Delta region.
It is understood that this route is operated by Fortune Air. The route can take 8 passengers at a time. It takes one and a half hours from Jiande to Shanghai Jinshan. Four flights are opened every week, and the frequency of flights will be increased according to market demand.
As a land and water commuter travel route, the route passes through the intersection of Xin'an River, Fuchun River, and Lanjiang "Three Rivers" along the way, as well as Xianhua Mountain Scenic Area, Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park, Jinshan City Beach and many other popular attractions.
"Airplane is a common mode of transportation, but the experience of seaplane is very special. Our flying altitude is about 3000 meters below, and we can clearly see the scenery on the ground. For example, flying from the south bank of Hangzhou Bay to the north bank, the flying height is only 200 meters. The scenery is beautiful." said Li Dawei, the captain of Happy Airlines.
It is reported that the opening of this inter-provincial commuter travel route will help promote the integration of low altitude in the Yangtze River Delta through the creation of an air interconnection network, and promote the integrated development of transportation and tourism.
