On August 24, the key project of Henan Province-Henan Minquan General Aviation Airport's 6 aircraft successfully tested for the first time, which marked that the civil rights will enter the era of navigation. The operation of the airport has positive significance for civil rights to build a three-dimensional modern comprehensive transportation system, promote the transformation and upgrading of local industries, release consumption power, and stimulate employment of residents.
The relevant person in charge of the Minquan County Government introduced that the airport proposed its project intent in 2015 and has successively obtained relevant approvals from the civil aviation and military. After 5 years of hard work, it was approved by the Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission in November 2019. The project is a category A2 general airport. The airport planning mainly focuses on small aircraft manufacturing and official flight, flight training, air tourism, logistics flight, aviation medical rescue, urban aviation fire protection, aviation forest protection and other services; at the same time, it also provides emergency response to the society. Support services such as rescue and general aviation operations. After the airport is put into operation, it will engage in project activities such as industry, agriculture, forestry, medical and health, rescue and disaster relief, flight training, culture and sports, tourism and sightseeing.
In June 2020, the civil rights county government and the operator-Oriental Fashion International Aviation Development Co., Ltd. signed a civil rights general aviation airport cooperation agreement. Construction of the airport started in August of the same year, and the main body was completed in June 2021. At present, the conditions for take-off and landing are basically in place, and various facilities and systems are still being actively debugged.
Minquan County is seizing the opportunity of general airport construction, relying on the airport to plan and construct a general aviation industrial park on its south side, mainly developing general aviation-related industries, cultivating new economic growth points, and accumulating momentum for the high-quality development of the civil rights economy and society.
