Demonstrating our ability to manufacture solid shims in custom shapes and thicknesses, Shimco was contracted to produce 30 units of this unique stainless steel solid shim for a customer in the aerospace industry. Machined from 321 stainless steel annealed to AMS 5510 specifications, this 2.75" x 1.50" x .050" shim was CNC milled according to a customer supplied drawing. Additional machining operations included precision drilling and deburring of 14 holes, all completed to within the tight tolerances typically required by aerospace industry customers.
