  • The pressure sensitive altimeter is an aircraft instrument, indicating the flight altitude or height on the base of barometric pressure measurement through the altitude changing. The instrument is intended for measuring and indicating altitude or height between -1,000 and 35,000 ft, depending on design. The altitude is indicated by three pointers (or two pointers and warning strip window). Setting the barometric pressure is placed in the left bottom corner of the flange and is carried out after the lifting of the knob. There is build-in barometric pressure scale counter in the instrument with a range of  787-1,053 mb or scale can be in inchHg. The instrument is designed to meet all requirements and methodology rules TSO-C10b and RTCA/DO-160D.
