The Pitot-static tube is used for sensing air pressures needed for measuring airspeed, altitude, etc. It is mounted to a rod (holder) attached to the aircraft. Outlets provided with marking are located at the rear end of the tube to which ducts are connected of the total and the static pressure respectively. The Pitot-static tube consists of a streamlined brass body, the outer surface of which is nickel plated and polished. There is a heater element inside the tube, providing for its heating. This pitot tube is suitable for speed to 800 kmph.
