CHC Group recently signed a contract in the wind farm market, the company said. It has already started providing Siemens Wind Power GmbH with Leonardo AW139 services, operating from its base in Den Helder, Netherlands. CHC is supporting Siemens’ efforts in the German North Sea to construct the Veja Mate offshore wind farm.

This is not the first time CHC has supported a Siemens wind farm operation. The company completed Siemens’ Gemini wind farm project last October after providing nine months of support. During the project, Siemens provided 150 wind turbines for what was the largest Dutch offshore project to date. The total order volume was worth more than $1.6 billion.

CHC operates a fleet of seven aircraft types, according to its website. It operates the Sikorsky S-92 and S-76 series; the Airbus Helicopters H225, AS332 series, AS365 N series and the EC155; and the Leonardo AW139. CHC provides offshore; search and rescue; emergency medical; maintenance, repair and overhaul; and flight training services.
