Information of TTFly: Honeywell signed a memorandum of understanding to promote research and talent development with the Civil Aviation University of China in Tianjin, a national university under the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
The memorandum of understanding will see Honeywell and the Civil Aviation University of China (CAUC) collaborate on programs to develop aviation industry talent, including a Honeywell Principles of Engineering Program and a selecive course open to all CAUC students in the autumn semester of 2016. The agreement also includes internships and graduate traineeships, as well as a Honeywell Star Student Contest.

As an important source of talent for China's aviation industry, CAUC plays a key role in the provision of training for technical expertise and scientific research covering a variety of fields in the aviation industry. Since its establishment in 1951, CAUC has produced more than 80,000 graduates, and one third of the engineering and management workforce in China's aviation industry are CAUC alumni.
Honeywell has a long history of supporting the development of China's aerospace and aviation industry, through collaboration with a number of organizations and corporations. Honeywell has invested heavily in engineering and technology in China, with over 600 engineers and two joint ventures established to support the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC), and other organizations in China. Over the past few years, Honeywell was selected by COMAC to provide four essential systems for the C919; provided integrated avionics system for the CAAC and FAA- certified Y12F, and worked closely with COMAC on the recently CAAC-certified ARJ21 aircraft program.
Honeywell is actively involved in the development of China's aviation industry and provides continuous support for local talent and research development through a number of initiatives. In 2009, Honeywell opened its China Aerospace Academy in Shanghai to provide technical workshops for technology exchange between each other. Since 2015, Honeywell has hosted an annual innovation contest among top universities in China. Students fro CAUC actively participated in the contest both this year and in 2015.
After the signing ceremony, Honeywell and CAUC representatives toured CAUC labs and exchanged ideas on broader cooperation.
