The Civil Aviation Administration held a regular press conference on the afternoon of November 10, and Zhu Tao, Director of the Aviation Safety Office of the Civil Aviation Administration, introduced the safety production and operation of civil aviation in October 2021.

In terms of safe operation: In October, the entire industry completed 810 thousand hours of transportation aviation flight, an increase of 4.1% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 13.7%; general aviation flight hours were 119,000 hours, an increase of 7.2% month-on-month and an increase of 10.1% year-on-year. There have been no aviation accidents, and safety production in the industry continues to maintain an overall stable trend. As of the end of October, my country's transport aviation has continued to fly safely for 134 months, with 97.53 million hours, and safely transported 5.01 billion passengers.

In terms of production and operation: In October, the main indicators of civil aviation transportation production rebounded slightly from the previous month. The total transportation turnover, passenger transportation volume, and cargo and mail transportation volume of the entire industry were 7.33 billion ton-kilometers, 38.861 million passengers, and 604,000 tons, respectively. Increases were 6.4%, 7.6%, and 0.8%, respectively, and fell 15.5%, 22.8%, and 2.9%, respectively, year-on-year. Total transportation turnover is equivalent to 65.6% of the same period in 2019; passenger traffic is equivalent to 68.2% of the same period in 2019; cargo and mail transportation is equivalent to 90.6% of the same period in 2019, of which all-cargo aircraft completed cargo and mail transportation of 229,000 tons. It was basically the same year-on-year.

Operational guarantee: In October, a total of 387,000 flights of various types were guaranteed, with an average of 12,000 flights per day, an average daily increase of 1.0% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 12.2%. The national flight regularity rate in October was 93.8%.
