On the morning of June 11, 2021, Chengdu Huaizhou Airport, a subsidiary of Sichuan Airlines Group, held a grand ceremony for the certification and inaugural flight of Chengdu Huaizhou Airport. The Sichuan Safety Supervision and Administration Bureau of Civil Aviation of China issued an airport use license to the airport operator: Chengdu General Airport Operation Management Co., Ltd. and carried out the first flight ceremony, which marked the official opening of Sichuan Airlines' first general airport.
