The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a woman who is apparently looking to fly the friendly skies without first paying for her aircraft.

DPD spokesman Bruce Frazier says the suspect stole a toy spy drone from a Dalton convenience store last week.

The theft happened shortly after 10:00 pm on November 14th at the Mapco store at 2000 Chattanooga Road.

Fraziers says a woman with dark hair wearing a dark jacket, pink shirt, and pink bandana in her hair entered the store several times making transactions.

The last time she was in the store, she picked up a Nemo Spy Drone valued at $59.99 and placed it out of sight of the store clerk.

When she left the store, Frazier says she slipped the box containing the drone in one of her bags and left without paying for it. The suspect was recorded by the store’s surveillance system.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or this crime is asked to please contact Detective Jacob Burger at 706-278-9085, dial 9 and enter extension 325.
