With its new FAA certification, BLR Aerospace’s FastFin tail rotor enhancement and stability system can now be installed on Airbus Helicopters H125s, the company said. It is available for aftermarket and as a factory-installed supplemental type certificate option on new models. Certifications from EASA, Transport Canada and Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil are expected by the end of the year.

Unlike BLR’s Bell Helicopter FastFin system, the H125 version system is composed of advanced tailboom aerodynamic cowling, and tailboom strake and vortex generators. Airflow management boosts the anti-torque system, yielding up to 130 lb of increased useful load. Available right pedal could also be increased by as much as 10%.
