The Punjab Government has decided that instead of purchasing a new helicopter, they will put money towards repairing Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s old helicopter.
In December they had issued a payment of Rs 27.5 crore for the repair work to be done in Russia, but they faced difficulties, reports Dunya News. They then allowed a team to remain in Russia from the 13 -21 December, for the settlements of a new helicopter but again encountered difficulties and finally settled on the plan to refurbish the aging aircraft.
